Internet Connection at Istanbul Technical University
To access Wi-Fi at Istanbul Technical University (ITU), you have two options: connecting to eduroam or ITUNET Misafir (ITU Visitor Network). Please find the details for both methods below:
Eduroam Connection
If your home academic institution provides eduroam access and you've connected to it before, you should be able to connect automatically here at ITU. If you experience any issues or are connecting for the first time, please follow these steps:
- Select eduroam in the Wi-Fi list.
- Enter your full academic institution email address as the username (e.g., isaacnewton@itu.edu.tr).
- Enter your email password from your home institution in the password field, then select "Connect."
You should now be connected to the eduroam Wi-Fi network.
ITUNET Misafir (ITU Visitor Network) Connection
If you were unable to connect to eduroam, we have also provided access to the ITUNET Misafir Wi-Fi network. Connection credentials have been sent to the email address you provided during event registration through Indico. Before the event you will receive an email as shown below:
To connect the ITUNET Misafir Wi-Fi, please follow these steps:
- Select ITUNET Misafir in the Wi-Fi list.
- "Kullanıcı Adı:" indicates your username for the Wi-Fi connection (which will be your email address).
- "Şifre:" indicates the password for the Wi-Fi.
Enter these credentials to connect. Please also check your spam or junk folder, as the email might have been directed there.
Should you encounter any difficulties with either of these options, please seek assistance from the personnel at the IT Desk located next to the Registration Desk outside the conference hall.
